Local Talk is KHOI's locally produced news team dedicated to featuring the people, stories, issues, and events of central Iowa. An archive of past shows can be seen by browsing the front page of our website: http://khoifm.org/
The show airs live every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7am-8am. It is rebroadcast at noon and 7pm that same day.
Local Talk meets every Monday and Thursday from 11am - 12pm to discuss topics and plan the shows for the upcoming weeks.
Reporter duties include, but are not limited to:
Being trained by the KHOI station manager and learning standard radio practices for reporting, interviewing, production, and hosting.
Finding stories to being to the production meeting, setting up interviews for the live show, hosting the live show based on your schedule.
