The Arc of Story County strives to enrich the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they learn, work, play, and grow within the community. Through advocacy and services we will support persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. One of the ways The Arc of Story County strives to enrich the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is through programs and special events. The special events have included a night out at the I-Cubs, Iowa State basketball game, a walking group on Wednesday evenings and even presenting the awards at Big 12 competitions. Regular programs include swimming, basketball, soccer, bocce, bowling, softball and more. These programs provide opportunities for enjoyable social interactions as well as healthy exercise.
