Who We Are

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serves as a 99 county campus, connecting the needs of Iowans with Iowa State University research and resources. We provide education and partnerships designed to solve today’s problems and prepare for the future. 

The Story County Extension Council, county staff and ISU Extension and Outreach staff work together to provide research-based learning opportunities for our citizens. Through this partnership, we carry Iowa State University’s land-grant mission across Story County.

What We Do

ISU Extension and Outreach - Story County serves Iowans through Agriculture and Natural Resources; Communities and Economic Development; Health and Human Sciences; and 4-H Youth Development.  Story County Extension serves as a resource to individuals and groups through publications, local workshops, and other programs.
