Story County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) Outreach Project

The Story County LEPC is in need of a volunteer to assist the LEPC with improving their ability to plan for emergencies. The volunteer will contact businesses in Story County that work with hazardous chemicals to verify emergency contact information and to encourage participation in the LEPC organization. A script of information will be provided for the volunteer as to why they are calling and to inform the businesses of the benefits of the LEPC. The volunteer’s efforts should help reduce risk within our communities and build a better partnership between emergency responders, government agencies, and business. This is a volunteer position. Hours are flexible but would need to be during office business hours of 7:30PM-4:00PM.
