Your new, handmade, washable blanket or afghan will be given to a child who is seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. All sizes and types are happily accepted! Volunteer: Blanketeer - Quality Control and Affix LabelsCentral Iowa Chapter of Project Linus is in need of individuals who are willing to pick up blankets from designated pick up points, perform quality control checks on each blanket to ensure it meets PL standards, and affix a PL label. Once the Blankets are completed with the quality check and label, they are able to be transported to one of the designated drop off sites as directed by the local coordinator. The Blanketeer overseeing Quality and Label additions will also need to provide monthly updates to the local coordinator as to the number of blankets picked up per location and the number donated per drop off site.
