Mainstream Living has been providing services to persons with disabilities since 1975. We serve approximately 530 individuals on a daily basis and provide a wide range of services and programs. In Story County, the Center not only provides persons with disabilities opportunities for socialization and recreation, but also serves the Story County community as our consumers participate in numerous volunteer projects at the Ames Public Library, McFarland Clinic, Food at First, and many others. Our Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) provide supports in residential settings - either in homes owned by Mainstream Living or in the individual's home or apartment.
